THE LINEAR MODEL OF TIME-COST OPTIMIZATION OF PLANNING OF MULTIPLE BUILDING CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS

Abstract:

The aim of the paper was to create a model of time-cost optimization that would be useful in the planning of
realization of multiple building construction projects. The model includes the direct costs of task execution,
indirect costs, the downtime of work brigades, penalties for missing the directive deadlines of individual objects.
In order to minimize costs, linear programming was applied. Verification of the operation of the model
was conducted with the use of the specially designed software and illustrated by an example of calculation
for a multiple building construction project. In future the model can be extended by the optimization of the
order of realised objects.
