SOIL CLASSIFICATION BASED ON CPT AND DMT TEST

Keywords: soil classifications, field test, CPT/DMT tests, statistical analysis
Abstract: This paper presents the general principles of soils grouping on the base of geotechnical soundings. The results of the CPT and DMT tests carried out in the campus of Warsaw University of Life Sciences, as well as set individual geotechnical layers were summarized. Based on the results of laboratory test, mainly grain size distribution analysis of soil, types of soils were identified and compared with data from field tests. Also a statistical analysis of data from field tests were carried out. Addition, the differences in the classification according to Polish PN-86/B-02480 and European PN-EN ISO 14688 standards were presented.
