Utilization of laboratory investigations of local scour below water structures to estimate their safety

Abstract: In the article authors characterized the slope coefficient of critical line of the scour below hydraulic structures. The slope of the scour hole is of importance for the stability of adjacent structures and bad protection. Most of the authors carried on study of scour below a spillway and sluice gate. The own and other authors model test results made of two-dimensional flow are presented. Some of the results from study are shown on figure 2 and 3.
