DYNAMIC IMPACT OF A RUNNING AIRCRAFT ON CONCRETE AIRFIELD PAVEMENT SURFACE

Keywords: concrete pavement, pavement oscillation, frequency of oscillation, amplitude of oscillation
Abstract:

The publication described the results of dynamic impacts of a running jet aircraft located on a concrete
airfield pavement surface. In experimental studies conducted in real conditions the amplitudes of vibration
speeds were determined. They enabled to compare the obtained vibration characteristics of airfield pavement
surfaces with the existing scales of effects of dynamic impacts on buildings. Comparisons were made taking
into account a certain analogy to dynamic impacts on commercial buildings. It should be mentioned that it
is obviously the analogy which was used due to the fact that there are still no adequate criteria for these elements
of transport infrastructure engineering, to which the above mentioned problem applies. The publication
outlined an exemplary speed distribution of generated vibrations on airfield pavement surface, which was
created around the vibrating source.
